Extremes

The minds of man cannot comprehend

the complexity of the female soul.

From cuddle hungry to hangry,

switching sweet to demon in less time

than it takes to change channels,

you and your ilk flash between extremes that

we mere mortal men cannot decode

or withstand.

Beautiful yet saying you are ugly,

shapely yet claiming fat,

volcanic to arctic in the blink of an eye

and then back again

as if nothing happened.

Whipsawing us emotionally,

while knowing,

I will never abandon you.

Buffeted by storm and sun,

blazing heat and blistering cold.

I will not break,

steadfast

in love.
