Je Souhaite

I wish I could share with you

the sherbert sky sunset of orange and mango,

the rose sunrise as the golden light paints the world,

the droplets on the plumeria after the rain

that sparkles as the wind caresses our skin

and the salt air prickles the nose.

I wish I could share with you

the decadence of a chocolate croissant

in a Parisian café on the street,

lovers bustling along as the air trebles

with languages more numerous than bird songs.

I wish I could share the depths of the seas

and the peaks of the mountains

challenging the heavens with their majesty.

I wish I could share it all with you,

yet it would never be enough.
