Good Timber
Like the towering maple tree I have grown through adversity. Scarred and bare my heart and head. Growing still, because not dead Even though my heart may ache Another loveless winter I can take.
Lost Season
I miss the season of butterflies, when days were light and warm. The light of the dawn in your eyes And that smile, your greatest charm.
Falsehoods
Your entire world is filters and masks, Makeup, falsehoods, and lies. Diversions, illusions, and delusions To trick the soul and eyes.
The world grey and fuzzed As your mind, clouded with doubts. Soul dark, and ripped out.
Your heart is now colder than the Canadian plains, A freeze in the soul that fails to numb the pain Of your lies.
True Colours
I see your true colours Black as your heart.
Into The Darkness
We begin in darkness And watch the dawn arrive. We run in the light for a while, But then it fades. And we finish in darkness, Alone.
At The End
As I break All I want Is you.
The Scarlet Letter
You should wear the Scarlet A For what you choose to do each day: Lying, cheating, breaking the Vow. Who is Flying, and Falling, now?
