I never meant to hurt you, but muscles only grow through resistance. Champions improve through challenge, through coaching and tough love. An airplane needs resistance to lift off the ground and fly high. I push you because I see who you are under the makeup you use to hide from yourself.

The dawn pink peeks over the mountains. You lie in the bed, as frigid As the ice on the lake And as beautiful. Cold and hard of heart, Ice inside and out.

You know it hurts you long range and those who love you now.

I know we are far apart And I will never again touch But I will love you from a distance, like the moon casting light over the Earth and tugging at the ocean, the ever changing sea rising and falling from the pull, a kiss from above.

As you say, we are not alike in any way. You want to feel good And to look good Now, with no Effort. I want to be good Later, through my own Effort.
