A Pirate Weeps For Lost Treasure

For long I pursued the prize,

Chasing the booty o’er the seas

But now she sinks before mine eyes

Broken by the rocks with ease.

Though we fight with heart and will

Pursuing the object of our lust

Yet we be but mere men still

And the Ocean’s favor we cannot trust.
