Oh immortal light above
that curs’d beauty shunned in love;
to see and say what would come
but those who heard it shall be dumb
to the future plain as day.
No pretty words sufficient to sway
or warn those on a poor path;
Truth ignored for god’s wrath.
Muse or mortal, neither hear
until disasters finally appear
and what was clear and foretold
destroy the beloved and behold!
is ignored out of spite.
Now the Oracle weeps in the night
for hearts hard, that cannot feel
will ignore Love’s appeal.

You are as you say “self sabotaging” A.
It kills me to watch it come true, for you know how much I adore you.
