The Golden Ratio

Two ears, two eyes, and one mouth.

God gave men this ratio for a reason,

so we could listen and observe more

than we talk or teach or preach.

But He also gave Man a heart and soul,

and a mind to love and hold

and learn from the better half,

to treasure and care for her,

to embrace physically and emotionally,

to round out our rough edges and

soften our worse natures.

Two halves of a whole,

completing each other

as strength and weakness combine

in loving dynamic balance.
