My Muse,
you shatter my soul into a thousand shards
and each grows into a poem singing your praise.
You inspire me when the journey is hard
Then crush the spirit that you raised.
You vacillate between fire and freeze
Whipping my soul as the breeze
Of the hurricane of emotions storms through
My breast, radical feelings caused by you.
In your uncaring love sit there in charm
Beauty enthralling, yet deadly harm
To those that desire, that need, that must
Sacrifice all to earn your trust
That is never given, always withheld
Until ultimately at my death knell
All is spent, all is given
For my Muse, my life was liven.
