It’s Complex

I love you.

It is that simple, and that complex.

Like the biochemistry that sends

surges of happiness through me when I hear your voice,

urges of desire when I see your beautiful face.

Like the web of events needed to create a rose

that pales in comparison to your lips

or the chocolate yummies less sweet

than your smile.

You yourself are a magnificent enigma,

complex beyond any equations

or music of the spheres.

13 plus billion years for two

carbon based life forms

on an insignificant dot

to accidentally cross paths.

7 billion people walking the earth.

Insurmountable odds.

And yet

the Universe in all of its chaos and complexity

let us meet.

Everything in existence has conspired

for us my dear.
