And Still

A beauty you waltzed into my life

Apparently an angel

Yet a succubus

And still

I adore you.

You embodied worldly elegance and beauty

Hiding a darkness within

And still

I see light in you.

You presented an image of perfection

Covering the flaws and stress inside

And still

I embrace all of you.

You seemed sweet and curious

A façade to seduce and entice

And still

You fascinate me.

You acted attentive and adorkable

You now act completely unlovable

And still

I love you.
