Diamond

Your heart is a diamond;

cold as ice and hard,

yet still able to shatter.

I do not want to melt it.

I refuse to break it.

Instead I want to shine my light

into it, to let your beauty sparkle

reflecting the fire and brilliance

that no one else gets to see.

Lay on me as if I were

black velvet, let me show the world

the true flawless beauty you have within.

Let the glow from my heart illuminate yours

and let the glitz and glimmer dance for all to see,

like the twinkle in your eyes

when you smile my jewel.
