Two Paths

You meander along the path to pleasure,

No destination other than that

Which amuses you in the moment,

A butterfly flittering through life.

I march the path of purpose,

Determined and resolute

Towards the destination,

Stopping to hydrate

And appreciate

The butterfly

Crossing my path.
