I Believe

I believe that inside of you

among the voids and holes

and broken bits hide

the pieces needed to build

the most beautiful of women.

Different than you were before

when I first fell in love with you.

Braver, more resilient,

attractive because of the flaws

instead of in spite of them.

A new you, built on the foundations

of past iterations, rising

like a new temple upon rubble

or a phoenix from the ashes:

brilliant and beautiful.

Better.

Stronger.

This I believe.
