Heaven and Hell

When you come from Hell, everything looks like Heaven.

From those who much was taken, “any is all” is the given.

You came through void and pain, unloved in the darkness;

Faltering, flailing, falling and seeking forgiveness.

For the sins you bear and the scars you cannot escape

Ever burden you, an anchor back to the fiery lake

Tormenting and torturing your heart and soul

Even as you claim to be happy and whole.

Purgatory seems a blessing

For pain just slightly lessened

Seems a gift from above

For one lacking True Love.
